2. General Information on Data Processing

I take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

As a rule, it is possible to use my website without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, email address) is collected on my website, this is always done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

3. Hosting – Hostinger

This website is hosted by:
UAB Hostinger International
Jolantos g. 3, LT-10257 Vilnius, Lithuania
https://www.hostinger.de/datenschutzerklarung

When you visit my website, Hostinger automatically collects so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These include:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of the request
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the requesting computer

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free and optimized operation of the website).

I have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Hostinger in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

4. SSL / TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

5. Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts for the consistent display of fonts, provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (or for users in the EU: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google servers. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Google Fonts is used in the interest of a consistent and appealing presentation of my website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If your browser does not support Google Fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used. Further information on Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (for EU users: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” – text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

As part of IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA.

I have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the data protection requirements of Google Analytics.

Legal basis: Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), provided you have given this consent via the cookie banner.

Opt-out: You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Further information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245

7. Contact Form

If you send me inquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the inquiry form, including the contact details you enter there, will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. I do not pass this data on without your consent.

The contact form is provided by Gravity Forms from Rocketgenius Inc. The data entered is stored on my web server and is not passed on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with me until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

8. Cookies

My website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some cookies are technically necessary (e.g. for the proper functioning of the contact form or the CMS). Other cookies are used for analysis purposes (see Google Analytics).

You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
